Bubble Roll
Bubble wrap – also known as air cushion film, Noppenfolie, or pop wrap – is one of the most popular and versatile protective packaging materials available. The distinctive air-filled pockets act as a buffer, absorbing shocks, vibrations, and pressure before they reach the item inside. The two-layer structure also guards against scratches, dust, and moisture during transit and storage.
What is bubble wrap used for?
Bubble wrap is the go-to packaging solution for e-commerce shipping, removals, and industrial dispatch. It protects electronics, glassware, ceramics, artwork, and other fragile goods from damage in transit. Simply wrap it around your item or use it as void fill inside a shipping box. Because it is lightweight, it adds virtually no extra weight to your parcel – a real advantage for online retailers watching shipping costs.
Our range at a glance

Frequently asked questions about bubble wrap
Which side of bubble wrap should face the item?
The bubble side should always face inwards, directly touching the item you are protecting. The air pockets conform to the shape of the object and absorb impacts most effectively this way. The smooth outer side is more resistant to external abrasion and makes taping and handling easier.
Can bubble wrap be reused?
Yes – as long as the bubbles are still intact and filled with air, bubble wrap can be used multiple times. Simply remove it carefully during unpacking, store it flat, and reuse it for your next shipment or move. Once the air pockets are popped or deflated, the cushioning effect is significantly reduced.
Is bubble wrap recyclable?
Bubble wrap is made from low-density polyethylene (LDPE) and is recyclable. However, it is not suitable for standard kerbside recycling bins as thin plastic film can clog sorting machines. We recommend folding it up and dropping it off at your local recycling point or checking with your local authority for the best disposal option.
How much bubble wrap do I need for moving house?
A useful rule of thumb: a 100-metre roll is enough to wrap the fragile items from a room of roughly 10 to 15 m². For larger moves or regular e-commerce packing, we recommend keeping two or more rolls in stock so you are never caught short.
All our bubble wrap rolls are shipped securely packed in a carton via DHL – free delivery across Germany included. Not quite right? No problem – we offer free 30-day returns on every order.
